Diana Mateo: Vol. 44 Articles Editor


Diana Mateo is an honor student at the Shepard Broad College of Law. During law school, she served as Justice for Academics for the Moot Court Society during the 2018-2019 academic year and participated in the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition. As a rising 2L, she interned for Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and had the opportunity to first chair cases on asylum. This past summer Diana was a Judicial Law Clerk with the Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review through the Summer Law Intern Program. She drafted written decisions for immigration judges on various topics involving asylum, cancellation of removal, and adjustment of status. Diana has applied to Honor Attorney Programs with the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security for post-graduation employment. She lives in South Florida with her fiancĂ©, Hector Camacho and two cats, Wally West and Kylo Ren. She frequently visits the love her life, Luna, a Siberian Husky who resides with Diana’s mother.
